I has a sore throat.

I bloody hate sore throats.

I am also sleeping in my parents' room tonight.

Why? Because some sampat went and told us about the horror movie "Red Shoes".

The same sampat also complained that my blog is getting boring.

I don't care. :P

But since she and my other awesome sampats were nice enough to surprise me with that box of presents last Friday (plus, I've a bunch of photos anyway), I shall update ok?

On the 14th itself, we went to Curve to celebrate.

But we stopped by at Dome first to alas perut.

Why Dome?

Because I had a sudden craving to eat their Minestrone soup!

Their soup is total love! A must try. Trust me.

Anyone who's been to Curve lately will know about the huge Barbie convention going on.

I know. A convention dedicated to Barbie.

The little miss plastic perfect, bleached blonde, airhead, seemingly omnipresent doll.

Ok, slight prejudism. xD

But when I took a look closer, I was astounded by the actual detail put into designing these dolls.

Stardust Barbie. Look at the cloak/ mantle/funny spiderweb-looking thing!

And you know how Barbies always have those creepy perpetual smiles on their face which makes them such wonderful items of horror in ghost stories.

But I actually saw a Barbie that looked kinda sexy! In a plastic-y sort of way... o.O

She kinda reminds me of some celeb. But I can't quite place my finger on who it is.

Ok, you can't really see the face properly here. But she has this sexy sassy look contrary to the usual scary 'horror movie genre' smile.

The supposedly 'real' Barbie was just an old made-up aunty.

Meaning, no plastic perfection. Would be hard to achieve though.

My pretty niece Megan went for the Dress Up thingy. Isn't she sweet?!

They even put lipstick on her, lol.

That's not really the right message to put out to young girls!

Went to TGIF for dinner with the family.

Had that whole embarrassing but fun experience of standing on the chair while the waiters sang stupid songs. The next table even cheered along wtf.

Double Delight

Birthdays.

Not a big deal. It just reminds me that I'm getting one year older and futher away from the childhood carefree days.

But they are pretty useful in getting people to fuss over you and merajuk-ing to get your way as much as possible. Keke.

They are also awesome because...

I get to spend time with the ones I love.

Not just the ones around me, those friends who sms or wished me on Fb; you all are just wonderful.

Hard to believe it's been a year. Sometimes when I think about it, it seems like it's gone by in a flash.

Yet, when recalling all the minor details like Mum's surgery and SPM results day, it feels like a lifetime has gone by.

Nah, I've been out and about the last few days so today is officially (kinda) declared Homework Day.

And while I'd have loved to go to Jo's cell group thing tonight, it's kind of a relief she cancelled so I can get some assignments done.

Some holiday.

So here I am, stuck in my bedroom blogging and doing homework while watching darling JB try to curl up on my weighing scale like he used to do.

Only now, he's about double the size he used to be. And he keeps slipping off. :D

On Wednesday, I dragged Jo along to the YED thingy going on at the Taylors Business School Eugene (Tang) told me about.

Go tengok tengok and support his stall lo.

David refused to come, stating that he was already in ss15 5 days a week and wasn't about to waste his holiday there.

After that we walked to the Main campus to meet up with Gene (Ho) whose toe still cacat.

Fastforward all the debating, we settled to go to Kim Gary at Pyramid.

At night, we went over to Kepong to celebrate my aunt's birthday!

After stuffing myself with crabs and cakes, we went home. And I was greeted by THIS.

After trying to book Shogun and Saisaki, only to be met with "fully booked for the whole week", we settled with Bubba Gump.

Met up at Dav's house first because I wanted to play with Mimi!

Jo drove us to Pyramid.

Then we saw this... and couldn't resist.

The decor was pretty cool but with such prices and elaborated atmosphere, we expected the food to be tad bit better.

So we were kind of disappointed when the food turned out the be only slightly above average.

Jo and I ordered the Burger.

Their shrimps and lobster tails were good, have to give them that. But I'd have much preferred TGIF, honestly speaking.

Went to Starbucks to wait for Gene and get some work done.

At this point, Dav had this random urge to raid a girl's handbag. =.=

So I let him look into mine while I played with his laptop. An eye for an eye.

And he also wanted to try on my Ray Ban glasses. o.O

I tumpang Gene's house while I waited for Mum to fetch me home and watched him play FF8.

Also napped for a while on his bed.

Ok, I mostly napped. ;D

Two busy days and I hardly did any hw. Sei lor, must do more today.

Yeah, Foundation only 1 week holiday. Sad case...
