Red Eyes

For more than one reason.

My effing eye infection is going to cost me my effing job.

Barely a few hours into the day, and I was already sick of it. Why? Because I just wasted half the day travelling and doing absolutely nothing at all but waste money.

Woke up at 6 am today and spent the next four and a half hours doing nuts in the college cafeteria while waiting for mum to send me to work. Yes, I still can't see clearly enough to drive.

Then I called them and they said there was only computer work to be done and I really didn't want to risk my eyes for a job that I didn't even like. So they said next week come if no changes.

Doesn't sound good. But then again, I'm surprised they haven't fired me yet. What good is a worker that can't work?

But I'm disposable, they're not. I don't like this this job but I need it because their pay is reasonable and the hours suit me (and my mum's work schedule) perfectly. And I really let my parents down by wasting the last few months away so I want to earn some cash asap. I need the job, can't mess this up.

Daddy offered to try to take me home from college but mummy later decided to take me back around 11 instead. All 25km and then back to work.

I really don't say it enough but thanks. Everytime I blog about them, I'm in an angry mood that I fail to mention that they may not be my ideal parents, and I'm not their ideal daughter, but we're a family and I really love them.

They care for me in their own way though sometimes it's lost under their temper and lectures. I think we hurt each other unknowingly sometimes and I'm sorry for all the times I did that.

Thanks for taking care of me and putting up with me all these years. I am eternally in debt and gratitude to your sacrifices.

P.S.: If you're wondering how I blog, I take a fifteen minute break every ten minutes or so or the screen becomes just one big blur. Don't think my boss will like it if I did that.

P.P.S.: I sleep now. Was already sleeping just now but suddenly woke up because of an sms and felt like blogging.

I Hate Today

Really really hate it.

Crappy can't even describe it. Shitty doesn't count. Screwed up is putting it lightly.

As if I wasn't already NOT looking forward to working from 10am to 8pm as one of those pengacau survey people that I myself always wave away, I woke up after only about an hour's sleep with my right eye slightly swollen and red.

Thinking that maybe it was because of my contacts, I threw away the old pair and opened up a brand new pair of colour contacts.

First ever coloured pair. It was amethyst colour too.

Then I crawled into the car at 6.45am in the morning because mum needed to drop me off before she went to work. Got to Jo's house after the stressful morning jam.

My eye still hadn't gone down.

Dressed up in collared uncomfortable clothing, I went with Esther to Esquire Kitchen in Subang Parade at 9.50am, proud that we were early.

Then only we got an sms saying that the hours was wrong and we could only start working at 12 noon.

My eye STILL hadn't gone down and it looked like I was trying to wink but EPIC FAIL type.

We lugged the 60 boxes of free gifts and papers and posters into Esquire Kitchen and begged them to let us store it there, lest we had to drag them around the mall with us for the next two hours.

Those two hours were fine, talking with Esther who kindly belanja-ed me Gelato in return for the hash brown.

At 12, we started work. Even that wasn't easy. We had 4 huge posters we had to display to the customers and ask them questions while filling in a form at the same time. Hard to do when you're standing up and have no place to support your stuff.

Most people rejected us, thinking there was a catch even though we tried to explain it was just answering some questions for a free pair of watches. Can't blame them for being skeptical, this is Malaysia after all.

Either that or they try to hit on you with the cheesiest lines ever.

My eye bothered me the whole day and though there was no pain or discharge (for now), the swelling impaired my vision and itched throughout the day.

My monthly 'best friend' then decided to visit me suddenly and I was NOT prepared at all.

Half of my thumb nail ripped off halfway and I couldn't cut it off because I had no scissors or clippers with me. Had to leave it half hanging painfully there.

After nearly non-stop surveying to fill our quota, with only a short break of 45 mins, we were almost done.

Around 6, I got a call from Pet Safari asking me to come for the job interview I've been waiting for days. They wanted me to be at Ikano at 10am tomorrow when I was supposed to meet up at 11am in Subang for tomorrow's survey.

I asked them if it was possible to reschedule. At that point they seem to lose interest in me and told me they MIGHT call back. I panicked and called them back asking for a 9.30am interview.

So tomorrow, I have to wake up at 8am and drive 30 km to Ikano for a 10 minute interview, and then back to Subang Parade which is another 25km.

The eye got worse so I freaked out and asked mum to take me to check after work and she ok-ed me again. Haha.

After a long day, where we met our quota early but they wouldn't let us off till we did our full 8 hours of work, I had to wait by the roadside for another half hour before the parents picked me up. In heels.

Went to doctors and found out I had caught the eye infection from my niece. And now I have to throw away my brand new contacts. My other eye might also get infected because of my bangs.

Got berated by dad for being careless and refusing to take an MC for tomorrow.

Still haven't gotten back the appetite I lost a few days ago so didn't eat much even though I felt my stomach echoing in its pitiful emptiness.

Started sorting out the data for today that we were supposed to hand in tonight, and then only got an sms from Jo.

Data not urgent, can pass up tomorrow. But already started so might as well finish off now.

Only good thing: will look like total nerd wearing fugly glasses tomorrow so at least no one will try to pick me up. Then again, the Pet Safari job interviewers might hate me for it and I might not get the job.

As if I hadn't had enough bad luck the past few days (like with the fish and fridge and all), today was ten times more tiring. If this bad luck goes on, I might even start suspecting something.

But it's nothing compared to what some people have gone through. I'm shallow for complaining about all this and I hope she gets better soon.

Conclusion, am tired, stressed, infected, and possibly cursed.

I do not want to hear how whiney or bitchy or self-centred or whatever I am. I just need this space to rant and rant and rant some more.

Then I will suck it up and go finish the data entry and wait for my phone call and put my eye ointment and sleep.

Goodnight.

P.S.: Thanks to all my sympathetic friends who just let me complain and still can say 'poor thing' when all I deserve is a 'shut up'.

P.P.S.: Oh NOW there's discharge.

Numbers

As far as I'm concerned, I never want to see another number in my life ever again.

Ok maybe that's a teeny bit too drastic. Let's say, I never want to see another cheque in my life ever again.

Unless it's addressed to me of course.

Oh who am I kidding? I'm going to have to work there again soon.

What really screwed me over was the fact that they didn't even count my first hour working. Ash said that's their 'training hour'. Fuck, my training lasted two minutes and I started working right away.

Pft, cheapskates.

Plus, the new maid is so terrible (not really her fault, more of the agency's?) we're not taking her and mum's dissing me again.

Is it so hard to ask for just a little bit of acknowledgement? I don't even want to hope for appreciation. And I can handle myself thank you. Also, no need to be so catty, I know my back is horribly acne-scarred.

But today also very stressful for her la.

Also the fact that I'm pretty much settled to go for Nutrition and Dietetics. Seriously, it's not that I don't have interest in it, I do. It's just that I'd love to do vet science so so much more.

But unless a hard-to-earn place in the uni and about 3 quarters of a million ringgit fell from the sky into my lap, I don't see that happening anytime soon.

On the plus side, I finally got my pay for the promoting gig some weeks ago. AND I finally got my own proper Maybank savings account without any joint crap or whatever.

And the card is super cute! Cherries omg!

Maybank damn easy leh! Walk in straightaway got counter asking me what assistance do I need.
Lucky for me because to be honest, I'm really really blur when it comes to these things.

And Mousehunt always amuses me with the festive changes they come up with.

Like I saw that I'd caught an Archer Mouse but the picture was really unfamiliar so I thought it was a new breed.

Turns out it's just them celebrating CNY.

Or Valentine's. Poor Steel Mouse. D:

But the one that took the cake were the Dwarf mice.

Awwwww~!

I wants roses, gimme!

So yeah, my job is crappy, I just finished promoting and there are no camps to faci at this time of the year. How to get moneyyy?

I did see some other job offer in a pet shop and I'm really tempted to call them up and see. Only thing is, I think it's full time and even if mum thinks it's good training for me, I'm just to darn lazy. -___-

But I went there the other day and OMG, I really really want to work with animals!

We saw (ok fine, I saw coz Dav was too lazy to move) lots and lotsa doggies! Oh gosh, I love baby animals, I really really do. T___T

No photography was allowed but there were some really cute breeds like the Pomeranian whom I never knew could be soooooo kawaii!!!

(Much spazzing up ahead. Ok not really, but lotsa cute pics of dogs, cats and -ahem- rodents. YHBW!)

See see see??????

White one!

Maltese!

They are teh loooove!

*cuddles*!!

And of course, SHIH TZU.

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!

*SQUISH SQUISH*

Tell me who can resist them??

Cocker spaniels!

Whom JB somehow resembles now with his semi-long fur.

Yorkshire terriers!

Awwwww....

And though I like toy breeds, some large breeds are totally awesome as well.

The Golden Retriever!

Omg, I love it when doggies do that hiding in their paws thing!

Funny breeds like Bedlington terrier!

Bet some sicko got bored one day and decided to force mate a dog and a lamb.

But still cute in it's own sheepy way.

And a Bolognese!

OHAI

I always thought you were some sort of pasta to eat. What does bolognese mean then?

German shepherds!

'We be lining up to take a photo!'

But my favourite large breed is the Saint Bernard!

And their puppies are soooooo omfgtehcute!

Hee hee~

Aside from that, the pet shop also had other things like bunnies!

Omg, I love love love baby bunnies!

And kitties! Yay, kitties!

Lol, no worries. Cat is still in the bag.

Yeah, I know it was lame. =.=

Looks like one of those LOLcats. O.o

I don't know much about cat breeds but I remember that I used to be so obsessed over the Balinese I saw in Petworld magazine.

Cute right?

Sugar gliders are so sweet!

And then there are terrapins and tortoises.

But you know what? I've always wanted a gerbil.

Gerbils are really teh awesome. I mean look at the faces and tails and hind legs!

I would really love to work around animals. Some day, some day.

Shoot, that stupid Someday My Prince Will Come song is stuck in my head! Of all the Disney songs. I hate Snow White. Bluek.

ANYWAYS, I saved the best pet for last.

Really awesome doggy that I love soooo much along with Shaggy.

Jellybean! LUFF LUFF LUFF!

Lovezz,

~*JJ*~

P.S.: People who get to do laser eye surgery should really just be quiet and not turn into a spineless pansy halfway through. You're so lucky to get to do it so don't complain anymore you ungrateful bitch.

Nut up or shut up.

Resolutions Anyone?

Ok, please do not believe what that person says.

Whatever allegations you heard was not true! I did NOT call that old lady stupid on account of her age. I'm not agist ageist age-ist age-prejudiced ok!

That bloody old bugger cut me off! And I was already rushing to fetch mummy from college! D:

So jual ikan leh!

SO! In conclusion, she was stupid because she cut me off (extremely rudely I might add) and not because she is old.

Wtf, I also don't know what I just ranted about. I'm just scared if that bloody old bugger ever finds out about it, she'll bring like her whole gang of other rude, old, selfish people-cut-off-ers along to bash me up with their walking canes.

I is teh sorry la ok! I just really hate people with no courtesy! Not road rage laaaarh!

Speaking of which, Anna's quote takes the cake again.

"Why so many cars on the road?! These people no home to go to 1 ah?!"

You the shit, Anna, you the shit. *worships*

ANYWAYS, before I digress again, I celebrated the New Year with the family. At first I sortakindamostlyverymuch was disappointed I'd be in Kepong while the friends would be in Sunway.

But we had our fun, didn't we?

Of course, cousin always makes sure we're well fed on these occasions.

So we has grill! It is teh noms ok!

Especially stripey bacon. Mmm, bacon... :9

OH OH OH! You'll never guess what I came across on the net the other day!

Go on, guess guess!

Ok, nevermind I couldn't wait so here it is! It's a friggin BACON PLUSHIE. (yes, capitalized, bolded and enlarged)

*insert OMGWTFLOLBBQSAUCEDIES here*

I wants I wants I wants! But I don't think Malaysia got lor, being a Muslim country and all. And that's pork reincarnate into cuddly goodness. T.T

Coke bottle from Japan! Cute right right right?

And huge ass strawb'ries! Sweet too. :D

And my aunt made her awesome Hokkien Mee, which sad to say, I was too full from the grill and my nose was too blocked to taste anything so I didn't try it. DDDDD:

I can twist doggies from pencil balloons! I can also make bunnies ok, don't pray pray.

Around a quarter to midnight, we started walking to the Waterfront where lotsa fun events were being held.

Judging from the amount of cars that night, we were smart enough to walk instead of drive.

But why so many cars you ask? Why so popular?

Because, aside from an awesome stage and awesomer MC...

Also got hot girls! :P

And hot guys too! Summore got fire wei. Fire eaters FTW! 8D

Then, at precisely midnight....

My phone died. WTF POTONG!

So instead I was deign to steal piccies from my cousin's friend's FB. Heh.

The fireworks display lasted close to a quarter of an hour and were very pwetty.

All around us were people hugging and kissing and laughing and having a good time. :)
Oh, did not make any New Year resolutions this year. I know I'll just break them so there's really no point.

Maybe to be earn more moolah and not mess things up again? And er er er... blog more? Not like anyone reads this blog anymore except those who was to unneccessarily torture themselves with pics of yummy food that makes up 80% (is that too kind? Maybe 83%) of the content.

Janice!

Went back to couzzie's place and did random stuff with the nieces.

Never realised how much I missed flip phones until I started playing with my niece's Disney Princess phone. -__-

Eh, flip phones are smexy leh!

Ok, overall I had a great time with them and I no more regret not going to Sunway instead. Pft, like daddy would allow me anyway.

Oh, minus the fact that I couldn't taste crap the whole night.

You know, when someone is asked what sense is most important to them or what sense they would be most devastated to lose, the answer that arises is usually sight or hearing.

People!!!!111one!!! You're totally underestimating the sense of taste! Dear lord, if I ever lost that sense, I'd just shrivel up inside and DIE.

Random urge to play with my food when I'm at a table too long after the meal. Those are onion rings FYI.

Oh oh oh! David managed to get me a temporary job at Sunway Giant the other day!

Ok, pay is not that good but I'm really that broke and lifeless. So....

He got the easy job ok. Here's all he had to do.

Dav: "Hi, would you like to try this Koala's March chocolate biscuit?"

Xiao Mei Mei: *takes and eats*

Parent: "Nice anot?

Xiao Mei Mei: *nods nods*

Parents: "Ok, I'll buy two."

Gao dim.

Summore got balloons and cute uniform! Tell me bribe anot la.

Me leh?

Had to promote chewing gum instead. =.=

Not even nice catchy name. Xylitol, meh.

On another note, first time I tied my hair up in ages.

Went to Full House for dinner on Sunday after the job. OMG, I think I pokkai again liao. =.=

Oh, and the college canteen finally reopened! Can has my meehun with sambal and telur goreng again!

Lovesssss!

Lovezz,
