Mundane.

Yes, that's what life is becoming now. The Internet and TV are my constant companions, plus that new book my sis lent me last weekend.

Yeah, it was a cheesy, trying-to-be-deep-but-failing, high school romance type, but it wasn't that bad and in my current desperate state, I'll take just about anything.

One thing that wasn't so drab last week was mummy's birthday celebration. As usual, we got the flowers, card and cake nearly last minute.

Except for the gift. Dad saw this amazing purse in the airport when he got back from overseas so he bought it like weeks ago.

Actually I got the card pretty early too. Like early April. And of course flowers can't be bought till the day itself.

So we only procrastinated on the cake. Yay us!

First one has softer colours but because of that, they're less sharp and I haven't spritz them with water droplets yet.

Second one was with flash so the colours are a bit too harsh but they make the droplets sparkle.

Hmm...

Anyways, went to Tai Thong (yeah, it's really thong but I'm guessing they don't know what it means in English) to celebrate.

Got there a little early so had to wait for the rest of the family.

Took pics to pass the time. Mummy so pretty!

I initially only wore my long sleeved grey top and a brown short skirt but when I came down, mum had this disappointed look on her face and asked if that was all I was wearing.

So I was like super SWEAT, OK FAINE LOR and went back up to change. Birthday girl must please mah.

Manage to rummage out this dress even though I've gained weigh and it's even more snug than usual.

Speaking of which, I am so not a homebody. Bored to death and pigging out even more.

We were super hungry by then but the food was only served like 20 minutes after that! T___T

So next is dessert! They has us put our napkins on the table. Found out that there's no good reason really, just to make it more interesting I guess.

The very next day, mum was acting all suspicious and called me upstairs. I already kinda suspected what she did and she didn't disappoint me when she pulled out a new Coach handbag she bought.

"I needed a new bag to match my purse!"

And this marks the first of the many birthday celebration our family will have this year.

I went to a drive through coffee place where there was a gigantic puddle of water in a corner of the parking lot. Someone had released a family of rubber duckies into the puddle. IMMD.

Today, my parents got small lobsters for their salt-water fish tank. They named them Lunch and Supper. IMMD

Our dog had too much food in her dish, so she went over to a gopher mound and laid some down in front of it; and then the same infront of the birt feeder. A few minutes later several small gophers were eating, and also some crows. Share what you have, I thought. Life lessons from my dog. IMMD

Today I was at a Verizon store and the power went out. Someone in the store loudly said Dun Dun Duuuuun!” IMMD

I am a paramedic. Last week at work I got a letter. Inside was a picture of a young man in a cap and gown. On the back of the picture was written, "He graduates this year because of you." IMMD.
